The statement by the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), alleging a major political agenda behind the fake diploma issue drew a strong response from social media activist Tifauzia Tyassuma, also known as Doctor Tifa. "Mr. Jokowi shouldn't make all sorts of accusations," Tifa wrote on X via her official account @DokterTifa, as quoted by SindoNews, Wednesday (July 16, 2025). Tifa stated that the major political agenda was clear: researchers, politicians, activists, and religious scholars were working together to uncover the fake diplomas made at Pramuka Pojok Market. "Hopefully, Mr. Jokowi's diploma isn't among those exposed," she tweeted. Tifa stated that genuine UGM diplomas have five safeguards, making them nearly impossible to forge. According to Tifa, if Jokowi had a genuine diploma, he would have nothing to fear if researchers were given the first opportunity to examine and scrutinize it. "Don't stress yourself out, making blind accusations. We just want to see your original diploma, if you have one," he said.
