Bahlil Said It Was Natural That Golkar Party Did Not Get RI 1 Seat

Golkar Party Central Leadership Council General Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia stated that it was natural that his party did not get the opportunity to occupy the presidential or vice presidential seat of the Republic of Indonesia. 

Bahlil instead emphasized that his cadres could increase the Golkar Party's legislative seat acquisition. 

"It's not that we generally become president or vice president. There are also many Golkar who do not become president or vice president," said Bahlil at the Kosgoro 1957 Muspinas III event in the Gatot Subroto area, Jakarta, Wednesday (7/5) evening. 

"What's important is that the seats increase. So, don't translate it differently," continued Bahlil. 

On the other hand, Bahlil mentioned that his task as general chairman is to increase the Golkar Party's legislative seat acquisition. 

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) then also asked Kosgoro 1957 to support his duties while leading the Golkar Party. 

"So, this is to be clear, because that is the role of Kosgoro with all the great cadres to increase our seats later in 2029. We really hope for it," he said. 

Therefore, Bahlil asked all cadres to maximize their performance, including members of the Golkar Party who currently occupy seats in the Red and White Cabinet not to leave their electoral districts (dapil). 

"So, I will ask all cabinet members from the Golkar Party, immediately do not leave the dapil," added Bahlil. 

"Because our KPI (key performance indicator) in the party is that seats increase, seats increase," he said.
