When Prabowo Meets Retired TNI Officers After Gibran's Impeachment Stir...

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto met with retired TNI and police officers at a halal bihalal event held by the Indonesian Army Retired Officers Association (PPAD) at Balai Kartini, Jakarta, on Tuesday (6/5/2025). This meeting suddenly took place after the commotion of the TNI-Polri Retired Officers Forum stating demands, one of which was to remove Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. The TNI-Polri Retired Officers Forum that proposed Gibran's removal consists of a number of senior figures, including 103 retired generals, 73 admirals, 65 marshals, and 91 colonels. Fachrul Razi and Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI) for the period 1988-1993 General TNI (ret.) Try Sutrisno. Interestingly, Try Sutrisno attended the halal bihalal event for TNI retirees. 

Several figures who also signed this proposal were General TNI (ret.) Fachrul Razi and Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Indonesia (ABRI) for the period 1988-1993 General TNI (ret.) Try Sutrisno. Interestingly, Try Sutrisno attended the halal bihalal event for TNI retirees. 

Prabowo and Try Sutrisno were seen sitting together when the event began. Prabowo even made a gesture of respect to the 6th Vice President before giving his speech. All retirees support Prabowo Acting Chairman of the Indonesian Army (AD) Retired Military Association Major General (ret.) Komaruddin Simanjuntak conveyed to President Prabowo Subianto that he is not alone. Komaruddin emphasized that all TNI retirees are proud of Prabowo. "Mr. Prabowo, believe me, you are not alone. In addition to all of us who are present here, you can witness how proud all Indonesian retirees are that you see on the screen," said Komaruddin.
