Bahlil Stated That Golkar Is Prepared To Support Prabowo For Two Terms

The Chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, stated that the entire party apparatus is prepared to support the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka for two terms.  

This declaration was made by Bahlil in response to inquiries regarding political parties expressing their readiness to endorse Prabowo for the upcoming 2029 presidential election. 'Since the national congress, I have announced that we will support the government of Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Gibran until the end. When will that end? It will end when Mr. Prabowo decides. If he wishes to serve two terms or more, we can discuss it; there is no issue. There is no need for doubt,' Bahlil remarked in Jakarta on Thursday. He also noted that although Prabowo currently serves as the Chairman of the Gerindra Party, he was previously a member of Golkar.  

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources emphasized that the entire Golkar family will consistently support President Prabowo. 'You know that Mr. Prabowo is indeed the Chairman of Gerindra and a member of Gerindra, but he originally came from Golkar. He is an alumnus of Golkar. We, as the Golkar family, will support him now and always,' he stated. It is worth mentioning that on Thursday, February 13, the Extraordinary Congress of the Gerindra Party in Hambalang, Bogor, decided to support Chairman and President Prabowo Subianto for re-nomination as a presidential candidate in the 2029 election. 'The Congress has requested Mr. Prabowo to be willing to run again as a presidential candidate in the 2029 election. He responded, God willing, but asked for time to complete his duties as president and fulfill his promises to the people,' said the Secretary-General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, when met in Hambalang. Muzani indicated that this decision was made by representatives from all levels of Gerindra's leadership across Indonesia who attended the Congress.
