On Saturday evening, the Hanura Party held the inauguration of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) for the 2024–2029 term at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Jakarta. "Today is not merely a ceremony; it marks the formal establishment of the DPP for the 2024–2029 term. It signifies our commitment that the People's Heart Party, founded on December 21, 2006, is far from finished," stated the Chairman of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO), in Jakarta on Saturday evening. OSO also urged the newly appointed DPP officials to prepare for the significant responsibilities ahead, which include representing the voices of the people from various regions across the nation. "To the newly inaugurated officials, your task is not light, but you are not alone. You represent the millions of voices of the people who wish to be heard, defended, and treated justly," he remarked. OSO emphasized that his party would not succumb to money politics and would consistently advocate for equitable welfare across all regions of Indonesia, aligning with the theme of this inauguration: Empowered Regions, Prosperous Indonesia. "Ladies and gentlemen, Hanura rejects inequality, Hanura opposes disparity, and Hanura stands with the people; that is why we rise. We will not yield to money politics or false popularity because our strength, born from conscience, will reach the hearts of the people. That is our power and our spirit," OSO declared. The inauguration of the DPP officials for the 2024–2029 term was also attended by several prominent figures, including the 5th President of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Mahfud MD, Ganjar Pranowo, and Anies Baswedan.
