The Working Committee of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Bill or TNI Bill discussed three main clusters in a meeting of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) and government Working Committee in Jakarta, Saturday. The Head of the Working Committee (Panja) of the TNI Bill and also the Head of Commission I of the DPR, Utut Adianto, explained the three clusters in question, namely the position of the Ministry of Defense and the TNI, the new scope of where the TNI may remain active, and the issue of the age of soldiers. "Those three are the only ones, nothing else," said Utut when met on the sidelines of the meeting. Utut said that all clusters in the TNI Bill were discussed one by one, article by article carefully. Regarding the target for ratification of the TNI Bill, Utut said that he did not have a specific target, but was waiting for the readiness of the government, especially the Minister of Defense, Minister of Law, Minister of Finance, and Minister of State Secretary. According to him, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin had hoped that the TNI Bill could be ratified during this session.
