House Has Been Searched, Ridwan Kamil Prepares To Be Questioned By KPK

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has opened up the opportunity to summon former Governor of Java (Jabar) Ridwan Kamil (RK) to be questioned regarding evidence found during the search. 

"Investigators will summon any witness who is considered to have the information needed in order to fulfill the elements of the case being handled," said KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardhika to reporters, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/3/2025). 

However, Tessa could not confirm when RK would be summoned because that is the authority of the KPK investigators. Usually regarding the witness examination schedule, Tessa will inform on the day the examination is held. 

Previously, on Monday (10/3/2025), the KPK investigation team searched Ridwan Kamil's house. This information was confirmed by KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto. "That's right (there was a search)," said Setyo when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday (10/3/2025). 

Ridwan Kamil also confirmed that the KPK investigation team had searched his residence regarding alleged corruption in the Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD). "It is true that we were visited by the KPK team. The KPK team has shown an official assignment letter," said Ridwan Kamil in his official statement, Monday (10/3/2025). 

The former Jakarta gubernatorial candidate claimed to have been cooperative during the search process and supported the KPK in investigating the case. "As good citizens, we are very cooperative and fully support and assist the KPK team professionally," he said. 

However, Ridwan Kamil was reluctant to provide further information regarding the search. "We cannot precede the KPK team in providing information on other related matters. Please ask the press directly to the KPK team," he said.
