Active community involvement plays a crucial role in the development of the National Capital of Indonesia (IKN). This is because IKN will be part of Indonesia's structural transformation based on innovation and technology, as well as the green economy, which is expected to integrate with people's lives. The Directorate of Information and Communication for Economy and Maritime Affairs, the Directorate General of Public Information and Communication, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo), is making efforts to build dialogue and active community involvement in the development of IKN through CreativeTalks Literacy Corner Influencer Meeting with the theme "How Far Has the Development of IKN Come?" in Makassar, South Sulawesi. Septriana Tangkary, the Director of Information and Communication for Economy and Maritime Affairs, the Directorate General of Public Information and Communication, Kemenkominfo, stated that Kemenkominfo plays a role in designing internet network systems, developing Electronic-Based Government Systems (SPBE), and providing the National Data Center (PDN). "The PDN will be used for the placement of electronic systems and other related components for the purpose of placement, storage, processing, and data recovery, and will be used on a shared basis by central and regional government agencies, and interconnected. The PDN will be built in three locations, namely Bekasi, Batam, and IKN," explained Septriana. She also mentioned that there are many false news or information, even hoaxes, about the development of IKN. To face this challenge, the government tirelessly communicates persuasively to the public. "The way to differentiate factual information from hoaxes is to develop curiosity, do not spread news without checking its accuracy first. Then, be cautious of provocative headlines, pay attention to the authenticity of photos, verify the authenticity of news, and immediately report hoaxes to Kemenkominfo through the aduankonten.id website and social media aduankonten," added Septriana. The government cannot work alone. It requires assistance from the community to disseminate factual information and positive news about the development of IKN. The Director General of Spatial Planning, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) represented by the Sub-Directorate of Technical Planning, Directorate of Building Planning, Putri Intan Surri, explained the progress of IKN development. "The relocation of IKN, before being announced by the President in August 2019, involved three ministries to conduct studies, namely the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) for the location study of IKN, then the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) for technical and spatial planning studies of the capital city relocation, and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) to search for and discuss the concept of IKN," explained Putri. It is also known that the current progress of IKN development by PUPR has reached 43.24 percent as of June 16, 2024, with a total of 104 contracted packages. The Head of HR and Public Relations Bureau of the Capital City National Authority (OIKN), Firmananur, emphasized that IKN development prioritizes green principles or environmental friendliness. Around 70 percent of the IKN area will remain forested. Furthermore, IKN development focuses not only on infrastructure but also on strengthening Human Resources (HR) through reskilling and upskilling. "Skills training has been conducted for digital-based MSMEs, cooking classes, barista classes, sewing classes, hydroponics classes, and digital empowerment such as coding classes and solar panel training," explained Firmananur.
