President Prabowo Subianto Attended The G20 Summit In Rio De Janeiro

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, arrived at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Monday, November 18, 2024, to participate in the G20 Summit. He landed at approximately 09:25 local time, dressed in a blue suit complemented by a black cap.

Upon his arrival at the VVIP lobby, President Prabowo was greeted and walked past the Brazilian honor guard. Subsequently, he was welcomed by the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who offered a warm smile and a firm handshake, symbolizing the diplomatic rapport between the two leaders.

This formal occasion was captured in a group photo session, during which President Prabowo was seen engaging in a casual conversation with President Lula da Silva. Following the photo opportunity, President Prabowo proceeded to the waiting area to join other G20 member state leaders and representatives from international organizations before heading to the meeting room.

At the summit, themed ‘Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet,’ President Prabowo is scheduled to participate in several dialogue sessions. The first session will focus on ‘Fight against Hunger and Poverty,’ while the second will address ‘Reform of The Institutions of Global Governance.’

Additionally, during the summit activities, President Prabowo will hold bilateral meetings with several leaders of friendly nations. These meetings are crucial for strengthening strategic cooperation, including technology transfer and enhancing international trade.

Accompanying President Prabowo at the summit are Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
