Brief Minister Of Health Budi Asked About "Reshuffle"

Monday, 09 Jun 2025

Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin spoke about the demands for a reshuffle against him from several parties. Budi only answered briefly, whether or not he was removed from the position of Minister of Health should be asked to President Prabowo Subianto. "Well, that's his right. Ask him, okay," said Budi at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday (3/6/2025).

Budi also did not answer whether he received a reprimand as a result of several of his statements in recent times. Starting from people who receive a salary of IDR 15 million are smarter to pants sizes above 32 will meet Allah faster.

Budi actually admitted that he received a smile from Prabowo. "I got a smile," said Budi briefly again. It's Too Late The call for Prabowo to replace or reshuffle Budi came from the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI). Budi, who has been the Minister of Health since the era of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), is considered to have gone too far in a number of matters related to health. "We call on President Prabowo Subianto to replace the Minister of Health. So I (say) it is clear, because it has gone too far," said the Head of the FKUI Alumni Association, Wawan Mulyawan at the FKUI Salemba Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (20/5/2025).

A number of attitudes of the Minister of Health Budi that are considered to have gone too far are related to medical education and health services. In fact, the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) under Budi's leadership is considered not to have heard input from the FKUI Alumni Association before the ratification of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health. "I'm sorry, (the Ministry of Health) only went in one ear and out the other. We met directly with the Minister of Health at that time, had an audience, explained the revision and we submitted it," said Wawan. Therefore, the FKUI Alumni Association supports the attitude of the FKUI professor who voiced an evaluation of the Ministry of Health's policies. "We are sure that when we fight and fight for what is right, everyone will support us, including the community," said Wawan.
