Prima Party Reaffirms Support For Prabowo-Gibran Government

Wednesday, 04 Jun 2025

The General Chairperson of the People's Just and Prosperous Party (Prima) Agus Jabo reiterated his party's commitment to support the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Agus Jabo conveyed this at the 4th Harlah Prima event in Central Jakarta, Sunday (1/6/2025). "This 2nd Congress only decided two things. First, Prima reaffirmed support, and wanted to secure the programs of President and Vice President Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mr. Gibran, so that the government programs can be enjoyed by the people as soon as possible," said Agus Jabo. However, Agus Jabo emphasized that his party had not discussed the 2029 Election, considering that the time was still far away.

Moreover, he said, it would be unethical if someone suddenly discussed the election, even though that person was still working for the President.

"This congress only completes the formal requirements that will later be registered with the Ministry of Law. because there are several Prima Party officials who have to carry out state duties so they do not carry out party duties," he said. Agus Jabo also stated that he would immediately compile a number of names for party administrators in the central leadership council to be registered with the Ministry of Law. State Secretary's Joke In government, Agus serves as deputy minister of social affairs. Deputy Minister of State Secretary (Wamensesneg) Juri Ardiantoro also joked about the Prima Party which remains in power in government even though it did not participate in the 2024 Election. The proof is, the party's general chairman and many of its sympathizers occupy important positions in the Red and White Cabinet led by President Prabowo Subianto. "The general chairman (Agus Jabo) serves as deputy minister of social affairs, occupying a government seat. There are many sympathizers of this party in government. There are Bung Mugi (Deputy Minister of Human Rights), Bung Pigai (Minister of Human Rights), Bung Nezar (Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital), Bung Budiman (Head of the Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Alleviation), Bung Faisol Riza (Deputy Minister of Industry)," said Juri. According to Juri, this phenomenon deserves to be written in Indonesian political history. Because if we follow the existing trend, the capital for parties to get seats in parliament and even government is quite dizzying.
