NasDem Has Extended An Invitation To Prabowo To Attend The Congress With The Aim Of Proposing Collaboration In The Government

The NasDem Party Secretary-General, Hermawi Taslim, announced that the party intends to extend an invitation to President-Elect Prabowo Subianto to attend the NasDem Party Congress III. The purpose of this invitation is to discuss potential areas of cooperation in order to effectively govern the country in the future. Hermawi made this statement during a press conference held in Jakarta on Friday, as part of the preparations for the upcoming NasDem Party Congress III.

Furthermore, Hermawi mentioned that President Joko Widodo will also be invited to the party congress. This invitation is extended to President Widodo as NasDem has been a loyal part of the government for the past decade.

Hermawi emphasized that the congress will serve as a crucial platform for consolidating the party's agenda in preparation for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada). These elections, scheduled for November, will be the final major political event in the next five years.

"We have a total of 2,202 members from various levels of government, including districts/cities, provinces, and the national parliament (DPR RI). They will be well-prepared and equipped during this pre-congress," Hermawi stated.

In the meantime, DPP Willy Aditya, the Chairman of the NasDem Party, stated that the congress's main focus is on "Synergy to build the Nation." The objective is to establish NasDem as a party that fosters collaboration with various sectors of society, not solely limited to political parties.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the congress will also incorporate the aspirations of party administrators at the grassroots level. The agenda is expected to involve over 100,000 individuals, both through offline and online platforms.

Willy stated, "This marks the realization of our transition into a digital party. It is a significant moment."

The NasDem Party Congress III is scheduled to take place from 25th to 27th August 2024. However, several pre-congress activities have already been conducted since 21st June 2024, as per Willy's statement.
