PT ASURANSI JIWA ASTRA (Astra Life) has fulfilled its obligation to the insured by paying a claim of Rp5 billion to the family of the late Mrs. Fitri Fardia, who was an individual customer in the bancassurance sector. Nico Tahir, the President Director of Astra Life, stated, “As a life insurance company, we are committed to keeping our promises and providing insurance benefits to our customers. We are providing insurance benefits to the heirs of the late Mrs. Fitri Fardia with a total claim amount of Rp5 billion. From January to November 2024, Astra Life has also fulfilled claim payments totaling Rp680 billion. This amount shows an increase from the same period last year, which was recorded at Rp649 billion, reflecting a year-on-year growth of about 5%.” Previously, the late Mrs. Fitri Fardia held an AVA iFuture Premier policy, which is an investment-linked insurance product that offers protection against risks of death, terminal illness, and total permanent disability. “We empathize with the loss experienced by the family of the late Mrs. Fitri Fardia. We understand that this claim payment cannot replace her role in the family. However, we hope that the heirs and family can continue their lives, pursue their plans, and keep loving life. This aligns with Astra Life's service commitment through our tagline ‘Love Life,’ which we have carried since 2014,” concluded Nico. By following the applicable standard operating procedures (SOP), such as checking the completeness of customer documents and ensuring policy terms and conditions are met, claim payments to customers demonstrate Astra Life's commitment to fulfilling its obligations and appreciating customer trust. Astra Life shows its commitment to following the laws and regulations in place and conducting its business with good corporate governance principles.
