PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (Summarecon) continues its commitment to advancing education. On November 14, 2024, Summarecon began construction of the first Sedaya Bintang Integrated School in the Summarecon Bandung area, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony attended by the board of commissioners, directors, management of Summarecon Bandung, and the Sedaya Bintang Education Foundation. The Sedaya Bintang Integrated School focuses on character education, is trilingual (Mandarin, English, Indonesian), and implements STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) principles. It was introduced to the public in early October 2024 and is affiliated with Pahoa Integrated School, sharing the same curriculum and teaching methods. Located on a 1.5-hectare site, the first phase of the school building will cover over 6,000 square meters. Aida Halim, Executive Director of the Education unit at PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, stated, “After our public introduction in October 2024, we are grateful that the Sedaya Bintang Integrated School is now in the construction phase. The school building will be developed in stages to align with the 2025/2026 academic year for Playgroup, Kindergarten, and Elementary levels. With the start of construction, interested families in Bandung, especially in the Summarecon Bandung area, can register now.” The first phase of the Sedaya Bintang Integrated School is expected to be completed by the end of May 2025, allowing educational activities to begin in the 2025/2026 academic year. For new student registration, the Sedaya Bintang Integrated School has a registration booth at Summarecon Mall Bandung or can be contacted via WhatsApp at 0813-8977-2288. As part of the student admission program, don't miss the chance to receive financial aid, including discounts on registration fees and monthly tuition, with limited availability. Sedaya Bintang Integrated School follows a curriculum affiliated with Pahoa Integrated School, a leading institution that combines the National Curriculum with the Pearson Edexcel International Curriculum (UK), the Singapore framework (DR. Yeap Ban Har) for Mathematics, and Mandarin developed by the Mandarin Curriculum Development Team. For early childhood levels, the Learning Corners method is used, allowing students to choose corners based on their interests and characteristics to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Sedaya Bintang Integrated School employs a contextual learning approach tailored to student characteristics, using the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) framework. This integration develops 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity, preparing students for the future. Students will learn Mandarin from native speakers, enhancing their authentic language skills. This approach is combined with Holistic Education, which aims to develop all aspects of students' potential, including intellectual, emotional, physical, social, aesthetic, and spiritual growth. The teaching methods and curriculum align with the vision of creating a school based on Pancasila values, maintaining high-quality standards through character education inspired by universal Confucian teachings.
