Indonesia Becomes A Technology Innovator Through Research Centers

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Angga Raka Prabowo said that Indonesia could become a producer and innovator of technology in the future through adequate research centers and human resources. 

"Indonesia is not just a market, but can become a producer and innovator of technology in the future," said Wamen Angga in an official broadcast received in Jakarta, Wednesday. 

In the largest technology exhibition in Asia Pacific, namely the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Shanghai, China, the Ministry of Communication and Digital participated in the event. 

The government through the Ministry of Communication and Digital seeks to accelerate inclusive digital transformation by collaborating with global technology companies (global-tech). 

Angga Raka Prabowo emphasized Indonesia's position as a strategic partner in building the future of the economy and shared prosperity which is realized through research and development (R&D) centers in the country. 

He said that international collaboration in the field of technology is not only seen from the investment or technology transfer side, but also as a means to strengthen the quality of human resources and build an independent digital ecosystem. 

This opportunity was also used to invite global technology companies to build their research and research centers in Indonesia. 

Deputy Minister Angga also shared Indonesia's strategy in building digital infrastructure and services to MWC participants. 

The experience of digital transformation in Indonesia is expected to provide other perspectives to participants in navigating the future of digital transformation.
