Cloud computing technology has now become a new normal era. This innovation is not only for storing data, but also supports generative artificial intelligence. Business actors to companies adopt it. However, there are still a number of challenges in its development. Cloud computing is a technology that utilizes the internet as a center for data processing and management, and develops artificial intelligence (AI). Users can also store and access these files in the cloud or virtual space Thanks to cloud computing, users no longer need excessive resources, such as physical data backup places. This technology is like a warehouse, which allows its users to store anything and even open a shop. In this context, a shop means applications and others. One of the cloud computing service providers is Amazon Web Services (AWS). That afternoon, Tuesday (4/3/2025), in Jakarta, Head of Solutions Architect ASEAN AWS ??Paul Chen showed a number of generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) features, the result of cloud development. Gen AI is a technology that can produce content such as text, video, images, and even new algorithms. Paul introduced the Amazon Nova Canvas feature, a Gen AI model for creating high-quality images based on text or user commands. Initially, he entered text containing commands for the feature to create a visualization of renewable energy use in Southeast Asia in the last decade. Only 30 seconds later, five infographics appeared on the screen. The images seemed alive, complete with colors and maps. After that, Paul demonstrated how the Amazon Nova Reel feature works, which can create videos. He only typed key sentences, such as a dragon skiing on a snowy mountain. In less than a minute, a video of a dragon gliding on a snowy hill appeared. The six-second recording looked real. In another feature, Nova Micro, users can ask anything in various languages. Furthermore, this model responds quickly. The way it works is similar to Gen AI products, such as ChatGPT from OpenAI, Llama from Meta, and Gemini from Google, as well as DeepSeek. That's a description of the Amazon Nova model in Amazon Bedrock, a development of cloud technology. "(This model) can form images, tables, summarize data, and even create videos. All of this is made by relying on artificial touch, not by humans," said Paul.
