PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) and PT Sucofindo have joined forces to enhance the awareness of issuers regarding the implementation of decarbonization strategies, support energy transition, and achieve the Net Zero Emission (NZE) targets in alignment with the Indonesian government's agenda through the IDX Net Zero Incubator Program 2024. This initiative is consistent with PT Sucofindo's commitment as a Validation and Verification Institution (LVV) and has been in operation since August 2024. Jeffrey Hendrik, the Director of Development at BEI, expressed his gratitude to PT Sucofindo for agreeing to serve as a knowledge partner and speaker for modules 2, 3, and 5 of the IDX Net Zero Incubator Program. Modules 2 and 3 focus on the Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), while Module 4 addresses the Preparation and Development of Climate Reporting based on the TCFD, IFRS S2, and POJK/SEOJK standards. Module 5 discusses Carbon Project Development and Trading. "This four-month training program features a series of educational sessions and intensive training aimed at carbon emission management, the application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and the use of innovative technologies to support energy transition," stated Jeffrey Hendrik in an official statement, as quoted on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Meanwhile, Budi Utomo, the Director of Industrial Services at PT Sucofindo, remarked that this collaboration is a tangible demonstration of the company's support in preparing decarbonization strategies. Through this partnership with BEI, PT Sucofindo aims to ensure that the business sector in Indonesia is equipped to face global sustainability challenges. "By focusing on the development of innovative and sustainable solutions, PT Sucofindo is bringing in experts in the fields of environment, sustainability, and carbon management to provide training on the calculation and assessment of greenhouse gas emissions to participants," Budi added.
