The Ministry of Trade through the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Canberra is once again pushing for the expansion of Indonesian products in the Australian market. One way is by facilitating the signing of a cooperation agreement between Global Coco Sugar, an Indonesian coconut sugar producer, and Import United Ausindo Pty Ltd, as the exclusive agent of Global Coco Sugar for marketing in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands on Wednesday (5/6).

"This signing is expected to support the Ministry of Trade's efforts to increase Indonesian product exports to Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. The government is committed to supporting and bridging the business players of both countries to engage in similar cooperation in the future, thus expanding the Indonesian product market," explained the Indonesian Trade Attaché in Canberra, Agung Haris Setiawan.

According to Haris, this cooperation agreement will expand the reach of Global Coco Sugar products and meet the increasing demand for high-quality coconut sugar in the global market. On the other hand, Import United Ausindo is an Australian import company that has experience in promoting various products and has a distribution network in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

Director of Global Coco Sugar, RifqiHermawan, expressed that they are hopeful that this agreement will bring significant benefits to their product distribution. "We appreciate Import United Ausindo and Atdag Canberra for signing this cooperation agreement. Hopefully, this partnership will provide significant benefits for both companies and by 2028, we aim to achieve sales targets of USD 2 million," said Rifqi, who will also participate in the Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024 later.

General Manager of Import United Ausindo, FikriAzis, is very impressed with the quality of products and Global Coco Sugar's commitment to sustainability. "We believe that Global Coco Sugar products will be well-received by our customers, and we hope to develop mutually beneficial partnerships for the years to come," he explained.

The agreement is valid for the initial three years with an option to extend based on the evaluation that will be conducted. Import United Ausindo will receive commissions on all direct and indirect sales based on the agreement.

The signing was done in a hybrid manner with the support of PrivyID as a certified electronic certificate provider and electronic signature provider that is done securely and easily despite being in different countries. The signing method through PrivyID will continue until TEI 2024, especially for buyers who are unable to attend in person but still want to obtain the same level of legality.
