Coordinating Meeting To Discuss Special Economic Zones

President Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting (ratas) discussing the development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) with several ministers from the Indonesian Cabinet at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. 

 During the meeting, the government highlighted the SEZs' achievements throughout 2024, which successfully exceeded investment and employment targets. The meeting, held as a hybrid format, was attended in person by President Prabowo, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, several ministers, and SEZ representatives.  

Representatives from other SEZs from various regions across the country also attended online. Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstream Development/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), stated that total investment in SEZs from January to December 2024 reached IDR 90.1 trillion, far exceeding the initial target of IDR 78.1 trillion.
