Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati is attending the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Zimbali, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, along with Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo. At the meeting, global financial leaders discussed the global economic situation, which is characterized by high uncertainty, tariff wars, and increasing global fragmentation. "The G20 strives to continue building a spirit of collaboration and cooperation, as stated by the South African Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana, as the host," Sri Mulyani wrote on her Instagram account, quoted on Friday (July 18, 2025). Sri Mulyani explained that Indonesia welcomes all efforts to strengthen dialogue and develop mutually beneficial cooperation in trade and investment to create jobs. As well as providing mutual benefits and increasing innovation and productivity across all countries. "I emphasize the importance of efforts to encourage a fairer globalization and create shared prosperity, where we can continue to grow together without sacrificing the interests of each country," she said.
