The Islamic finance industry continues to show significant development and is gaining more recognition in the hearts of the community. With principles that emphasize justice, transparency, and ethics, Islamic finance offers solutions that are not only profit-oriented but also focused on the common good. Referring to this, PT. Asuransi BRI Life collaborated with Lampung University (UNILA) to organize a seminar with the theme "Prospects and Challenges of the Islamic Finance Industry Today", which aims to promote awareness and understanding of Islamic finance and expand public access to financial services aimed at achieving financial independence. The event was held at Hotel Emersia Lampung at the end of May, featuring speakers from the Faculty of Economics at UNILA, including Dr. IgoFebrianto, S.E., M.Sc., Dr. Ernie Hendrawaty, S.E., and Prof. Dr. Rindu Rika Gamayuni, S.E., M.Si. AK. Meanwhile, representatives from BRI Life included the Sharia Supervisory Board KH. DR. Mohamad Hidayat MBA., MH., and the Head of the Sharia Business Unit Division, Basuki Achmad. In the seminar, one of the speakers, Dr. IgoFebianto SE., M.Sc., explained an interesting fact about the market share of the Islamic economy industry in the global market. "The development of the Islamic finance industry on a global scale shows that Indonesia ranks 3rd, with the highest knowledge indicator score of 200 among 9 other countries," explained Igo. This condition certainly explains that we are currently facing various challenges, ranging from regulatory aspects, competition with conventional financial industries, to adapting to the rapid advancement of technology. Furthermore, in his speech, the Head of the Sharia Business Unit Division of PT Asuransi BRI Life, Basuki Achmad, expressed appreciation and gratitude to the Academic Community of Lampung University for their extraordinary synergy and cooperation in organizing this seminar. Basuki stated, "The presence of academics, practitioners, and professionals in the field of Islamic finance at this event is a tangible proof of our joint commitment to advance the Islamic finance industry in Indonesia." Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Lampung, Dr. Nairobi, SE., M.Si., also welcomed the holding of this seminar and expressed his gratitude to BRI Life for taking the initiative and inviting UNILA to provide insights into the Islamic finance industry, especially to UNILA students. "Thank you BRI Life for your collaboration, this activity is certainly very positive for the students. We also hope that this event will further enhance the students' insights, especially regarding financial management in the Islamic industry, as well as opening opportunities for them to work and have a career in the Islamic finance industry," he concluded.
