CIMB Niaga And Universitas Brawijaya Malang Are Bringing You The Digital Lounge Campus & Career Festival

CIMB Niaga is ramping up its partnerships with various universities across Indonesia. The latest addition is the first Digital Lounge @Campus in East Java, located at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) in Malang. This digital branch is packed with modern banking facilities to make banking services easier for the academic community. With the launch of the Digital Lounge @Campus at UB, there are now eight such facilities available in universities throughout Indonesia.

The opening ceremony for the Digital Lounge @Campus UB featured a ribbon-cutting by Budiman Tanjung, Chief of Network & Digital Banking at CIMB Niaga, alongside Joni Raini, Director of Human Resources at CIMB Niaga, and UB's Rector, Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.Med.Sc, on Thursday, October 10, 2024. The event was also attended by senior leaders from CIMB Niaga and members of the UB academic community.

Budiman expressed gratitude to UB's leadership for the collaboration, stating, "We appreciate the opportunity to actively provide comfortable banking facilities and enhance financial literacy among the academic community. We hope the services at the Digital Lounge @Campus will effectively meet the financial needs on campus."

The Digital Lounge @Campus is an innovative space that embraces a fully digital concept, featuring a range of services including Self Service Banking (SSB) machines that allow users to open savings accounts independently in just five minutes. There’s also Video Banking available for both financial and non-financial transactions, providing product information, data updates, and customer complaint handling. Additionally, there are Cash Deposit and Withdrawal machines for easy financial transactions.

Unlike the Digital Lounge found in malls and office spaces, Digital Lounge @Campus offers a complete Coworking Space equipped with a big screen and WiFi, perfect for students and faculty to tackle assignments, hold group discussions, and engage in other positive activities. To enhance the café-like atmosphere, the academic community can enjoy coffee or other refreshments available at the partnership corner and OCTO Vending Machine while they work.

Career Fest Launch

On the same day as the launch of Digital Lounge @Campus, CIMB Niaga hosted a Career Festival themed "Your Career Journey Starts from You" at the UB Auditorium. The event featured speakers like Budiman Tanjung, Chief of Network & Digital Banking at CIMB Niaga, and Wahana M. Galih, a Complete Banker Trainee and UB alumnus.

"This event reflects CIMB Niaga's commitment to preparing the younger generation for future career challenges and introducing them to the culture and career opportunities at CIMB Niaga. Our speakers are inspiring figures who have achieved success and are building their careers, serving as positive role models for students as they navigate their own career paths," said Joni Raini, Director of Human Resources at CIMB Niaga.

To attract students and the academic community, the Grand Launching of Digital Lounge @Campus UB will be celebrated with the Digital Lounge Festival from October 14-16, 2024, featuring a variety of exciting activities, including a local market from SMEs, five different art workshops, and the Kejar Mimpi Wealth Fest with expert speakers from CIMB Niaga and financial influencers.
