Since its debut in Indonesia back in 1974, Nestle MILO has been dedicated to fostering a healthy, active, and resilient future generation through various initiatives and programs for the Indonesian community. Nestle MILO consistently provides sports opportunities for all age groups. Today, Nestle MILO reaffirms its commitment to supporting sports development in Indonesia by collaborating with the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) for the upcoming National Sports Week (PON) XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024. This partnership was marked by a symbolic signing that announced Nestle MILO as the Official Chocolate Drink for PON XXI 2024, set to take place from September 9-20. The ceremony featured KONI Chairman Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Marciano Norman, KONI Secretary General Drs. Tb. Lukman Djajadikusuma, MEMOS, along with President Director of PT Nestlé Indonesia Samer Chedid and Business Executive Officer for Beverages & Culinary Dairy Business Unit PT Nestle Indonesia Alaa Shaaban at The Nest, Nestle Indonesia. Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Marciano Norman expressed his gratitude, stating, “As the Chairman of KONI, I extend my heartfelt thanks and high appreciation to Nestle Indonesia and Nestle MILO for partnering with us. It’s an honor for KONI to have MILO as the Official Chocolate Drink for PON XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024. This is part of our collective efforts to enhance the resilience of the Indonesian community through sports. I hope Nestle MILO can be a partner for KONI in other sports activities, and that this collaboration will have a positive impact on our beloved nation.” Nestle Indonesia is always striving to harness the potential of food to improve the quality of life for everyone, today and for future generations. Nestle MILO has been part of the PON since the last event, PON XX 2021 in Papua. Alaa Shaaban, the Business Executive Officer for Beverages & Culinary Dairy Business Unit at PT Nestle Indonesia, added, "Nestle MILO is committed to the belief that sports are the best teacher for instilling life values like sportsmanship, confidence, perseverance, and teamwork. Over the past 50 years in Indonesia, Nestle MILO has inspired 50 million children across 300 cities and districts to lead healthy, active lives and build resilience through various sports programs, including running, soccer, and aerobics. Some of these initiatives include the Sports Development Program, MILO National Championship, Road to MILO ACTIV Indonesia Race 2024, MILO ACTIV Indonesia Race 2024 Jakarta International 10K, and MILO Family Day at schools.
