Monday, 19 Aug 2024

To spread more goodwill across the nation, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is launching a competition called “#BuktiBaktiku.” This event invites everyone to join in and inspire a movement of service for Indonesia. It’s a great platform for sharing stories and creating positive impacts through social media posts. The competition runs from August 15 to September 15, 2024.

Hera F. Haryn, EVP of Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility at BCA, mentioned, “For us at BCA, being a national bank isn’t just about offering top-notch banking solutions; it’s also about benefiting individuals, communities, and the environment, just like we’ve done with our ‘Bakti BCA’ program.

However, to make a real impact, we need collective efforts from everyone. That’s why we’re hosting the #BuktiBaktiku competition, as we believe everyone has the power to showcase their own acts of service. A little bit of goodwill can eventually lead to lasting change that will be felt for years to come.”

The #BuktiBaktiku competition is a digital initiative by BCA under the ‘Bakti BCA’ umbrella, encouraging people to share inspiring stories through photos or videos about their contributions to their communities.

Participants can choose themes based on the five pillars of the Bakti BCA sustainable program: education, health, culture, environment, and support for village tourism, small businesses, or community initiatives.

Three main winners of the #BuktiBaktiku competition will each receive an iPhone 15. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on the creativity of their content, storytelling approach, and the social impact of their activities.

BCA is also set to recognize 20 favorite winners, who are the participants with the most likes. The chosen winners will be announced live by Nicholas Saputra, the BCA Goodwill Ambassador, on BCA's official Instagram account. The #BuktiBaktiBCA initiative showcases BCA's commitment to making a positive impact on society through various flagship programs under Bakti BCA. In the education sector (Bakti Pendidikan), BCA aims to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian human resources with initiatives like the Bakti BCA Scholarship for undergraduate students, the Bakti BCA School, BCA Knowledge Sharing, Disability Empowerment, and Financial Literacy Education. BCA also contributes to improving community health through the health pillar (Bakti Kesehatan) by partnering as a funding supporter in the stunting reduction program managed by BKKBN and USAID, known as PASTI (Partnership to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Indonesia), along with social initiatives like cataract surgeries and blood donation drives with PMI. BCA's support for culture (Bakti Budaya) is evident in programs like Wayang for Students, the Nusantara Academic Writing Award (NAWA), Satu dalam Cita ‘Sudamal’, and the upcoming Gebyar BCA Merah Putih event this August. Under the community empowerment pillar (Desa Bakti BCA), BCA has launched services and programs aimed at developing human resource potential in various villages, including tourism village development, halal certification assistance, and export education for SMEs. Additionally, BCA is actively involved in environmental preservation through the environmental pillar (Bakti Lingkungan) with initiatives like orangutan rehabilitation and release, turtle conservation, leopard conservation, and tree planting. BCA believes that empowered individuals can uplift their communities and contribute to ecosystem sustainability, creating a lasting cycle of positive influence. Through Bakti BCA, BCA invites the Indonesian community to spread the spirit of giving and impact.
