After Lombok, AQUA Elektronik Holds Badminton Tournament In Jakarta

AQUA Elektronik is back at it, supporting badminton in Indonesia! After hosting the EPIC AQUA Badminton Cup 2024 in Lombok last June, they’ve now kicked off the AQUA Smash Tournament 2024 at the Arcadia Badminton Hall in West Jakarta. The tournament wrapped up on July 28.

“We want to keep transforming our activities with a focus on badminton through various events, including this tournament,” said Kenji Sadayuki, President Director of AQUA Elektronik Indonesia, in a release received by Kontan.co.id on Wednesday (July 31).

Over 80 participants from Jakarta and nearby areas took part in this tournament, competing in men’s doubles at levels A and B, using a points system. Each player earned points that were totaled at the end of the tournament.

Participants were vying for a prize pool worth millions of rupiah and AQUA Elektronik products. Plus, there was a special grand prize for the level A champions: the chance to represent AQUA Elektronik Indonesia at the Haier-AQUA Cup Badminton Tournament in Southeast Asia, held in Malaysia. AQUA Elektronik covers all travel expenses, accommodation, and pocket money.

After tallying the points, the winners who will compete in Malaysia are the duo G. Siwaji Raja and Muhammad Reza. Following events in Lombok and Jakarta, AQUA Elektronik is also set to host a badminton tournament in Medan in early August.
