The Denpasar Discussion Forum 12 conducted an in-depth discussion regarding the developments of the Iran-Israel conflict. In this discussion, it was deemed necessary for Indonesia to prepare strategic measures to address the Iran-Israel conflict. "In the near future, the escalation of the conflict will have negative repercussions for the global economy," stated Military Analyst, Jaleswari Pramodharwani, during the online discussion titled "Developments in the Israel-Iran War, Nuclear Weapons or Regime Change," held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. In the forum initiated by the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI, Lestari Moerdijat, Analyst Jaleswari indicated that the conflict between Israel and Iran fundamentally shifts the dynamics of regional and global security. Therefore, Indonesia must prepare strategies to respond to the ongoing dynamics and establish mitigation measures. "The Iran-Israel conflict poses a serious threat to regional and global stability, necessitating a comprehensive approach that includes diplomacy, sanctions, and humanitarian assistance," Jaleswari explained. Consequently, Indonesia needs to devise short-term rapid strategies to counter the negative impacts of the Iran-Israel conflict. The strategic measures referred to involve efforts for de-escalation. For instance, promoting diplomacy between the two nations, as well as preparing domestic mitigation strategies. This includes fiscal-monetary consolidation and enhancing communication at the ASEAN+ regional level.
