The entire community of the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkominfo) is committed to not engaging in any gambling activities, whether online or slots. This is evidenced by the number of Kemenkominfo employees who have signed an integrity pact to refrain from gambling. "It's already 100% of the Kominfo community who have signed the integrity pact to not engage in gambling activities," said the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia (Menkominfo), Budi Arie Setiadi during the Socialization of Online Gambling Prevention in the Kemenkominfo Environment held at Hotel Aryaduta Menteng, Central Jakarta. In addition, Minister Budi also appreciated the cooperation between parties in combating online gambling, both within Kemenkominfo and the Task Force for the Eradication of Illegal Financial Activities (Satgas PASTI). "Based on PPATK data, the Government through SATGAS intervention has successfully reduced 50% of online gambling access and reduced public deposits by Rp. 34.4 trillion and is striving to reduce access by 80% to decrease deposits to Rp. 45.7 trillion," he continued. Not only that, Kemenkominfo internally continues to work on combating online gambling. "Kemenkominfo through the Directorate of Information Technology Application Control of the Directorate General of Information Technology Applications (Ditjen Aptika) from July 17, 2023, to July 23, 2024, has blocked access to 2,552,749 gambling contents and reported 533 e-wallet accounts," Budi explained. What we are doing, Budi continued, is expected to significantly save the community. In the future, collaboration within the organization is also important to intensify this anti-gambling campaign. Socialization and literacy are also equally important elements, so I ask the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM), the Directorate General of Public Information and Communication (Ditjen IKP), and the Directorate of Informatics Empowerment of Ditjen Aptika to continue to intensify the campaign," he concluded. Continuing the statement of the Minister of Communication and Information, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Mira Tayyiba, explained that the integrity pact is a follow-up to the Minister of Communication and Information's Directive on eradicating online gambling within the Ministry of Communication and Information. "A total of 5,928 Ministry of Communication and Information employees, 3,014 civil servants, and 2,914 non-civil servants have signed the integrity pact, it can be reported that 100% of Ministry of Communication and Information employees have committed to not engaging in gambling activities, both online and slots," she explained. All the series of socialization and signing of the integrity pact is a form of rejection of all forms of gambling, and we show that the Ministry of Communication and Information is fully committed to eradicating gambling. "The activities that take place are also expected to deepen the understanding of all forms of gambling risks from various perspectives," Mira concluded. At the same time, Assistant to the State Civil Apparatus Commission 1, Farhan Abdi Utama, presented material on the consequences for civil servants who are involved in online gambling activities. Focusing on civil servants as a profession, up to now civil servants have received a lot of attention because in society, this profession is used as a standard for behavior. "As a profession that is closely watched, they must be careful in their actions. According to government regulations governing discipline, civil servants are monitored for their actions and behavior 24 hours a day, both inside and outside of their official duties," he explained.
