Pocari Sweat Unveils Giant Billboard In Otsuka Blue Planet Program

PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, the manufacturer of Pocari Sweat in Indonesia, has launched the Otsuka Blue Planet sustainability environmental program since 2022. This step is an effort to create a community that is able to manage waste properly and independently. The program provides a series of educational activities to the public in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).

Puspita Winawati, Marketing Director of PT Amerta Indah Otsuka, stated that one of the targets of the Otsuka Blue Planet program is schools. "Pocari Sweat educates school children about the importance of waste separation, recycling, and helps schools implement good waste management practices. Since 2022, there have been six high schools that have partnered with our program and reached more than 35,000 students," explained Wina - Puspita's nickname, in a press release received by Kontan.co.id, Friday (5/7).

Otsuka Blue Planet also reminds the Indonesian public with the launch of a giant installation made from over 5,000 used cans located in Senayan, Jakarta. "This campaign aims not only to reduce waste, but also to instill environmental awareness from an early age, forming positive habits that can have a long-term impact on nature," Wina continued.

The actions from this campaign have started some time ago. It includes collecting used cans from various sources such as factories, waste banks, running communities, and several public figures. The collected cans are then turned into part of an art installation by local artists that combine the uniqueness of waste and art.
