BPI Danantara Has Officially Been Established, Along With Its Vision And Mission

On Monday, February 24, President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. 

The Investment Management Agency Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara Indonesia) is an institution responsible for managing government investments. This agency was established to consolidate and optimize state investments in order to support national economic growth. The name "Daya Anagata Nusantara" was bestowed by President Prabowo Subianto, where "Daya" signifies energy, "Anagata" represents the future, and "Nusantara" refers to Indonesia. 

Danantara Indonesia is tasked with enhancing asset efficiency, attracting investments, and managing state investment funds based on principles of good governance. This institution also plays a crucial role in developing strategic sectors to boost Indonesia's economic competitiveness. 

Vision and Mission of Danantara 

Danantara envisions driving Indonesia's economic transformation through sustainable investment management. As a leading investment manager, with state-owned enterprises serving as enablers for its investment placements, Danantara aims to establish a Sovereign Wealth Fund that is globally competitive. 

Its objective is to support national development and create equitable prosperity for all Indonesian citizens. 

To achieve this vision, Danantara has established five primary missions: 

1. To manage the nation's wealth in a professional, transparent, and sustainable manner in accordance with the principles of good governance, thereby promoting the welfare of the people, as mandated by Article 33, Paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution and the Asta Cita mission. 

2. To optimize and manage strategic state-owned enterprise assets to create significant economic value. 

3. To act as a catalyst for national economic growth through investments in strategic sectors. 

4. To attract and accelerate both domestic and international investments to enhance Indonesia's competitiveness on a global scale. 

5. To develop an independent and superior Sovereign Wealth Fund institution, characterized by sound financial governance and a focus on long-term sustainability.
