Sri Mulyani Affirms That The Budget Efficiency Remains At Rp 306.69 Trillion Despite The Reconstruction

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has affirmed that the budget efficiency for the 2025 State Budget (APBN) will remain at IDR 306.69 trillion. This efficiency figure will be maintained despite adjustments to the efficiency values of individual ministries and agencies, a process referred to as reconstruction. Consequently, the budget efficiency value will align with the directives of President Prabowo Subianto as outlined in Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 1 of 2025. "The amount of budget efficiency remains unchanged," she stated during her visit to the Indonesian Parliament Building in Jakarta on Thursday, February 14, 2025. It is important to note that during the implementation of budget efficiency, there will be several changes in efficiency values as each ministry and agency discusses their budgets in the Parliament. For instance, the Ministry of Finance initially faced an efficiency reduction of IDR 12.35 trillion. However, following a working meeting with Commission XI of the Indonesian Parliament, it was decided that the efficiency value for the Ministry of Finance would be reduced to IDR 8.99 trillion. 

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Budget Committee of the Indonesian Parliament, Wihadi Wijanto, revealed that the IDR 306.69 trillion earmarked for efficiency will be allocated to implement President Prabowo's Quick Win programs. These programs include initiatives such as free nutritious meals, free health check-ups, the construction of hospitals in rural areas, free health screenings, and the renovation of schools. "The IDR 306 trillion will support the Quick Win programs of Mr. Prabowo, including the improvement of schools, which will also see additional funding," he explained at the Parliament Building.
