Phapros, Always Here To Promote The Nation's Health, Celebrating 70 Years Of Synergy

PT PhaprosTbk, which is part of the new state-owned pharmaceutical holding company, recently celebrated its 70th anniversary last week. With the theme "Together We Can", Phapros is committed to enhancing collaboration with various parties to support the improvement of public health. One of the synergies being pursued is support for the stunting eradication program in Semarang City and its surrounding areas.

During the funwalk event at the PT PhaprosTbk factory on Saturday (22/6), Semarang Mayor, Ms. HevearitaGunaryantiRahayu or affectionately known as "MbakIta", explained her program specifically aimed at eradicating stunting in her working area, which is Semarang City. She hopes that the industrial sector can actively participate in supporting this cause and make Semarang a Child-Friendly City.

In line with this, the Acting CEO of PT PhaprosTbk, Ida RahmiKurniasih, expressed Phapros' strong support for various health programs implemented in Semarang City and nationally. "We have directly discussed with Ms. Ita, the Mayor of Semarang, regarding the programs that we can do to support the sustainability of the Child-Friendly City (KLA) status that Semarang has obtained since 2023," she said.

"From Phapros' perspective as a pharmaceutical and multivitamin manufacturer, we already have a product called Tablet Tambah Darah, which is used for preventing anemia in pregnant women and adolescent girls, as it can lead to stunting during pregnancy. The national coverage of this program is expected to reach 60.96% by 2023. In the future, various collaborative programs can be carried out even more closely, including through Phapros' Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) activities, such as establishing daycare centers," Ida added.

Not only can daycare centers provide a place for mothers to bring their children closer to them at work, but they can also serve as a means of preventing stunting and monitoring the growth and development of children to ensure their health and well-being.

Daycare can be used as a means of preventing stunting, as the children's food intake and growth can be closely monitored. The stunting prevention program has been one of the main focuses of TJSL Phapros for several years. One of the initiatives is through collaboration with health centers and daycares in Semarang City to intervene with children who are indicated to be stunted by providing additional food (PMT) and multivitamins for 90 days. Now, their growth and development are much better and healthier than before," said Ida.

Ida also explained that they are committed to ensuring the availability of Phapros multivitamin products that can support the Government in eradicating stunting. "Our products can reach from upstream to downstream, such as blood supplement tablets and special multivitamin products for children to support their healthier growth," she explained.

In addition to partnering with the Semarang City Government, Phapros also collaborates with other parties for their 70th anniversary, such as Roemani Muhammadiyah Semarang Hospital, MPKU (General Health Development Council) of Muhammadiyah Semarang, and Bongsari Village Government for a mass circumcision program, the Semarang City Food Security Agency for the Cheap and Safe People's Food Market program, the Semarang City Environmental Agency and Bongsari Village Government for a tree planting program, and NgemplakSimongan Health Center for free health check-ups.

"We hope that the various activities carried out during Phapros' 70th anniversary will bring great benefits to the community, and prove that Phapros has been present nationally for 7 decades, and continues to be committed to improving the health of the nation," Ida concluded.
