WEGE & DEX Introduce Netro: A Smart Modular Housing System Revolution

Wednesday, 12 Mar 2025

PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk (WEGE) has partnered with PT Dex Solusi Transit (DEX) to launch Netro, the first smart modular housing system in Indonesia, designed with a Smart Net-zero and Growing-modular concept. The introduction of Netro was part of the ceremony for WIKA's 65th anniversary, held at WIKA Tower 2, 17th floor, featuring a video presentation about Netro. Tuesday (11/03)

The prototype of Netro version 1.0 is located at WIKA Realty in Pulo Mas Jaya and comes in four types, showcasing how this smart modular house can grow, starting from the smallest type of 33, then type 49, type 93, and the largest type of 129, catering to different space needs. This prototype reflects WEGE and DEX's commitment to providing a smart and green housing solution based on industrial principles.

Netro is designed to meet the demand for sustainable living. It operates efficiently, saves energy, and reduces carbon emissions through a smart system, aiming to achieve the Greenship Net-zero rating from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI).

Netro also provides a systematic modular growth housing solution, broadening market reach, enhancing affordability, and offering options for homes that can adapt to increasing welfare, allowing homeowners to expand their space needs systematically. This approach raises awareness of sustainable development and introduces the concept of smart modular housing.

The President Director of WIKA stated, "Netro is born from a concern for climate change and aligns with WEGE's commitment to developing Modular as a construction method since 2018."

DEX introduces the concept of a "breathing home" that is smart and adheres to Net-zero standards. It maximizes natural air circulation and utilizes IoT for automatic and cost-effective data collection for certification processes. This collaboration results in residences that are not only sustainable but also educate residents on energy-saving practices through integrated technology, as stated by Agung BW during the launch event.

Netro's standout features include passive cooling, natural ventilation, solar panels, water recycling systems, and energy monitoring systems, all integrated with the Greenship Net-zero application from GBCI. This system allows residents and GBCI to digitally track energy consumption and renewable energy production, significantly reducing emissions and meeting Greenship Net-zero certification criteria.

Echoing Agung BW, the CEO of WEGE remarked, "This launch can provide solutions for housing needs in urban, coastal, and rural areas. We are optimistic that with the construction technology from WEGE, DEX, and WIKA Realty as the first developer to implement Netro in several of its properties, we can meet market demands with the best quality, achieving a sustainable Net-zero lifestyle and massive energy efficiency." Hadian explained.

As a pioneer in green building, WEGE remains committed to delivering innovative housing solutions that focus not only on energy efficiency but also on enhancing the quality of life for communities. Netro addresses the needs of society across all demographics, especially for developers and property builders (B2B), by providing homes that are quick to build, structurally strong, cost-effective in operational expenses, and support sustainable principles.
