Major Reshuffle! The Minister Of Communication And Information Has Rotated 80% Of The Top Leadership At The Ministry

The Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi), Meutya Hafid, has made significant changes by reshuffling 80% of the senior leadership positions (Echelon II) in the second phase of the ministry's restructuring. This overhaul aims to refresh and strengthen the organization to accelerate digital transformation in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directives.

"This restructuring is not just an organizational change; it is a strategy to achieve digital sovereignty in accordance with President Prabowo's vision. We want to ensure that digital transformation brings real benefits to all Indonesian people," Meutya stated during the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for senior officials at the Ministry of Communication and Digital for 2025 at the Media Center in Central Jakarta on Friday (January 31, 2025).

During the same event, Meutya appointed a female prosecutor, Cahyaning Widowati, as a special advisor.

Meutya expressed hope that the newly appointed officials would work with integrity, dedication, and a strong commitment to serving the public.

"I believe that with hard work and high commitment, you can fulfill this responsibility to the best of your ability. Maintain the ministry's good name and ensure that every action taken truly impacts the community," Meutya emphasized.

She also reiterated the six main focuses of the ministry to support national digital transformation: equitable digital connectivity, strengthening the digital economy, digitizing government services, ensuring a safe digital space, enhancing digital human resources, and fostering inclusive and trust-based public communication.

"These six pillars are the foundation for designing innovative, adaptive policies that prioritize the interests of the public," she explained.

Meutya encouraged all newly appointed officials to contribute fully to achieving the digital transformation targets set by President Prabowo Subianto.

Digital transformation is not just about technology; it also involves changes in culture and mindset. Therefore, I encourage everyone in the Ministry of Communication and Digital to keep innovating, collaborating, and working hard to achieve Indonesia's great vision, said Meutya.
