The Tax Regulations Will Take Effect On January 5, 2025, While The Prices Of Low-Cost Green Cars (LCGC) In Jakarta Remain Stable

Wednesday, 08 Jan 2025

As of January 2025, a new policy has been introduced that affects the pricing of vehicles, specifically concerning the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and the Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB). This policy will take effect on January 5, 2025, with the aim of generating revenue for local governments. However, observations from the official websites of manufacturers offering low-cost green cars (LCGC) indicate that prices remain stable as of January 5, 2025.

This stability signifies that there has been no increase in the prices of LCGC compared to the previous month, particularly for the on-the-road (OTR) prices in the Jakarta area.

Daihatsu continues to offer the Ayla at prices ranging from IDR 136 million to IDR 191.9 million. For the Sigra, a 7-seater LCGC, the price ranges from IDR 139 million to IDR 182.6 million. Toyota has also maintained the prices of its two LCGC models at the beginning of January. The Agya is priced between IDR 170.9 million and IDR 194.4 million, while the Calya ranges from IDR 167.3 million to IDR 190 million. Additionally, the Honda Brio Satya retains its pricing from the end of 2024, with a range from IDR 167.9 million to IDR 198.3 million.
