Secretary General Of The Ministry Of Environment And Forestry, Bambang Hendroyono: Sacrificial Worship Becomes A Moment Of Strengthening Each Other

Taking advantage of the blessed moment of Eid al-Adha, as well as to strengthen each other in development, the Ministry of Environment and Forestry carried out the sacrificial animal slaughter on Monday (17/06/2024). At the same time, Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya also handed over one cow to the KLHK sacrificial committee. This year, the sacrificial animals under KLHK consisted of 33 cows and 6 sheep.

The Secretary General of KLHK, Bambang Hendroyono, as the Director of the Eid al-Adha Committee for 2024/1445 H, said that the sacrificial worship is a moment to strengthen each other, provide encouragement among fellow beings, complement each other's shortcomings, and remind us in the journey of environmental and forestry development.

"As per the message from Minister Siti Nurbaya, Eid al-Adha is also a moment for us to continue strengthening social cohesion, increasing social interactions, and building social innovations for the nation's benefit," he said.

In relation to this, Secretary General of KLHK Bambang Hendroyono also distributed 1,000 packages of sacrificial meat and groceries to the surrounding community of the KLHK office and KLHK families in need. Apart from the KLHK office, sacrificial animals were also distributed in various locations in Jakarta, Bekasi, Bogor, Serpong, Cirebon, East Java, and West Sumatra.

"May the values of sacrifice be deeply ingrained in each individual and be applied in all aspects of our lives, whether in worship, interacting with others, the office environment, or in fulfilling our roles as individuals and members of society," expressed Bambang.

One of the recipients of the sacrificial animals named Banu, who is an online motorcycle taxi driver, also expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

"May it bring blessings to everyone, to families at home, and to the community members receiving this sacrificial meat," he said.
