JAKARTA – The Indonesian government's push for healthy, productive, and resilient human resources is being realized through targeted health education. A key initiative in this effort was a breast cancer education and ultrasound screening event organized by the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in collaboration with MRCCC Siloam Hospital Semanggi. Held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the event themed "A Step Further in Caring: Early Detection, Self-Investment, Realizing a Healthy and Resilient Ministry" also commemorated the 26th anniversary of the DWP and Mother's Day.

The seminar featured a presentation from a professional medical officer, Dr. Nanda Putri Chintia from MRCCC Siloam Hospital. She provided crucial information on breast cancer, including risk factors, symptoms to watch for, healthy lifestyle habits for prevention, and the critical importance of regular examinations. This educational component aimed to empower female employees with the knowledge needed for proactive health management.

Following the seminar, participants had the opportunity to undergo on-site ultrasound screenings. This direct access to medical screening facilitated early identification of potential breast health issues, translating awareness into actionable health checks. The activity underscores a shift towards preventive healthcare within the workplace environment.

Hari Nugroho, Head of the General and Human Resources Bureau at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, highlighted the foundational role of health in institutional strength. He stated that health must be actively pursued through individual awareness and a supportive work environment, as healthy institutions foster resilient apparatuses, which in turn deliver quality public services.

Echoing this sentiment, Chairperson of the DWP, Anna Susiwijono, affirmed the organization's commitment to increasing health awareness and support facilities within the ministry. She framed the initiative as a strategic step to lower breast cancer mortality rates and improve the quality of life for Indonesian women, ultimately enhancing the productivity of female employees.

The event represents a tangible investment in human resources, recognizing that the well-being of employees is intrinsically linked to organizational performance. By prioritizing women's health, the ministry aims to cultivate a more caring, healthy, and sustainable work culture.

This collective effort emphasizes that early detection is a powerful form of self-investment. It moves beyond merely providing facilities to actively building a culture of health consciousness and mutual care among staff.

Ultimately, such targeted health programs are expected to strengthen the national workforce's resilience. By safeguarding the health of its female employees, the government takes a concrete step towards bolstering overall productivity and fostering stronger Indonesian families.
